Healdsburg Restaurants

Healdsburg restaurants reap the benefit of climate, soil and geography which provides the best conditions for home grown food and wine throughout the seasons of the year. With this in mind be prepared to experience a unique dining experience.

You’ll find an abundance of artisan foods, hand crafted cheeses and small production beers to tempt your palate.

You can choose from all American food through to Italian, French, Chinese, Japanese, Spanish, the list goes on and on. There are gourmet restaurants, pizza restaurants, fast food and take away and you can be sure they all have a variety of dishes on their menu to suit most tastes.

As you wander around the square, you’ll discover how diverse and exciting the restaurants are. It can be difficult to decide where to dine next, and when you see the freshly grown produce in the market area you will get some idea of how fresh the ingredients are likely to be.

After a day of touring around the Healdsburg wineries you may feel too tired to get dressed up and dine in an up-market restaurant. There are so many bistro’s and bars who all provide excellent fare that this need not be a problem. There is also an abundance of take-away restaurants so that you don’t even have to venture out.

For special occasions you have a wide choice of cuisine and romantic settings to make your evening a special one.

If you fancy a Japanese evening the menu choice is substantial to include such things as sweet shrimp, scallop salad, salmon roe, octopus, fresh water eel and squid.

For your Mexican evening out Taco’s and Burrito’s and a wide range of meats with combinations of rice, beans and lettuce, guacamole, sour cream and tortillas to name but a few of the meals offered.

Some Deli’s have an alfresco café style seating area, apart from their retail section where they sell toasted bagels with cream cheese, sticky buns, muffins, cookies, etc. They also sell sandwiches and house made salads to be eaten in house or taken away.

There are restaurants that serve modern country food where the menu contains only seasonal produce sometimes accompanied by speciality cocktails.
Whether you want Thai, French, Mediterranean, Asian, Californian or just plain vegetarian food the choices are there for you, and all within and around the town of Healdsburg.

Naturally if you’re visiting the wineries many of them have restaurants where you can sit and enjoy the surrounding countryside, sip their delicious wines and eat their seasonal fresh fare.

Don’t forget also that many of them are open on New Year’s Eve so if you want to have a special celebration what finer way to do so than being at the very source of good wine and food.

There are certainly many culinary delights to be found in and around Healdsburg and it’s a good idea to work out an itinerary so that you don’t go home wishing you’d visited a specific area.
